Making the most of the great outdoors is easy thanks to Woking's canal towpaths, cycle trails and range of golf courses. It's also the perfect place for young families to flourish with a great selection of top-rated state and independent schools situated in the area.
Woking Ranks highly as one of the most desirable places to live.
Woking was crowned as the top-ranked location for vitality in 2021 by Lambert Smith Hampon's Vitality Index, closely follwed by Windsor & Maidenhead, Bath and Cheltenham. |
Woking has been recognised as one of the best local authority areas in the country to live, work and play, according to a research study. The UK Prosperity Index, published by The Legatum Institute, looked at 12 different aspects of how an area is performing. It shows that the council’s work to support local businesses has paid off and we have striven to improve living conditions through better tenants services and regeneration and look after people’s health.
