Junior Academy of Modern Music Llp
JAMM runs fun, practical music workshops for children aged 7-16. Teaching guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals and band performance every Saturday during term-time.
Our goal is to offer students a space in which they can enjoy learning and developing their skills as a musician. We teach electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, and vocals. Throughout each term the students will gain a wide range of practical musical skills and experiences, ending with a final performance for their friends and family.

Workshops (2 Hours) every Saturday
Each workshop is comprised of two sections;
Part One - Group teaching in the selected discipline lead by an experienced tutor. During this session each student will work through a variety of songs, learning different techniques and skills as well as musical theory. This is followed by a 10–15-minute break where the students can socialise and eat in the communal area.
Part Two - Band performance workshop in which students put what they’ve learnt into practice by forming bands and playing through the song while being coached by all the tutors. Here they learn how to play together, in time and in harmony, and develop the confidence to perform and express themselves.
Workshops are held on Saturdays and are broken up into different sessions based on school year. We welcome all skill levels for each group.

More About JAMM
The Junior Academy of Modern Music was created by two music enthusiasts: Dan and Pete, who have created a fun and educational space for young individuals to learn to play modern music. The workshops take place on Saturdays at WaterRat Music Studios in Woking, a non-profit studio that provides practice and recording space for musicians.
At JAMM we believe music lives in the centre of our society allowing us to grow as individuals as well as experience one of our senses to its max. Studies have shown that students who play instruments or study the arts are often better in math and achieve higher grades in school than students who don't.
