Foster Wheeler Upstream is expanding its existing capability in response to its success in this market sector and the growth opportunities this market offers. The new office in Dukes Court was opened on 1 October 2012 to provide specialist services to the offshore upstream market. The office will offer a full spectrum of services for greenfield and brownfield developments, including concept selection, pre-front-end engineering design (pre-FEED), FEED, detailed design, project management consultancy, engineering, procurement and construction/construction management for upstream offshore oil and gas projects.
J Kent Masters, Chief Executive Officer, Foster Wheeler, said: "Key to our Upstream strategy is to focus very strongly on expanding our existing upstream skills base and expertise, particularly in offshore. The new office will provide access to the world-class offshore skills and expertise available in the Woking/London corridor which, together with the further development of our existing global upstream resources and track record, gives us a strong foundation upon which to grow our upstream market share."
"I'm delighted to be officially opening Foster Wheeler's new UK office," said Lord Green. "The UK is open for business and we warmly welcome inward investment. With excellent transport links, flexible employment legislation and low company tax, Britain is the ideal springboard to the rest of Europe for international companies. Foster Wheeler has been supported by UKTI's extensive network of experienced sector and location consultants providing market information, location guidance and practical help to get its UK upstream operation up and running.
