Meet the Buyer event this autumn
Woking Borough Council is delighted to announce that the first ever 'Meet the Buyer' event for local businesses will be coming to the Enterprise M3 (EM3) area on Thursday 3 October.
Following the success of the recent Meet the Buyer South Hampshire on 28 March in Southampton, which has previously generated deals worth an estimated £6.25 million, businesses in Surrey and North Hampshire will now have the opportunity to participate in a similar networking event in Farnborough.
EM3 Meet the Buyer is a partnership between the EM3 Local Enterprise Partnership, Hampshire and Surrey County Councils, Woking Borough Council and the borough and district councils of Basingstoke and Deane, East Hampshire, Elmbridge, Guildford, Hart, Rushmoor, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath and Waverley. It will be supported by Hampshire and Surrey Chambers of Commerce.
Meet the Buyer aims to recruit around 36 buyers from the engineering, manufacturing, telecoms, construction, public sector, marketing, printing, cloud computing technology and other sectors. Local suppliers will be able to make new contacts for their products and services, all in one place on one day, through 10-minute appointments. Follow-up meetings can then be arranged to progress any procurement opportunities identified.
Suppliers in the sponsored area will pay just £99 for up to six designated appointments. To complement the event, there will also be a free procurement workshop for supplying to the public sector on 12 September, and a sales training breakfast a week later.
