TEDxWoking

TEDxWoking

Are you a great public speaker? Do you have something to say? Are you ready to give the talk of your life? Then we may be looking for you...

Woking Borough Council is proud to announce TEDxWoking; an independently organised TED event, taking place in Woking.

We are on the hunt for the very best speakers from a variety of disciplines, who provide outside-the-box thinking, exciting and thought-provoking content.

The theme of the first TEDxWoking is 'Transformation' and our chosen speakers are asked to speak about transformation in their field for up to 18 minutes in front of a live audience.

TEDxWoking will have a dedicated website to host all the information on the event, including speaker topics and bios. All TEDxWoking talks will be recorded and uploaded to the TED Youtube Channel.

If you would like to be part of TEDxWoking or would like to nominate a speaker from your organisation, please contact Sam Marshall at Woking Borough Council on 01483 743650 or via [email protected]

About TEDx

In the spirit of "ideas worth spreading," TED has created TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxWoking, where x = independently organized TED event.

At TEDxWoking, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
