Woking Bandstand on the move
In an exciting development, works to relocate Woking Bandstand to Woking Park will commence on Tuesday 6 May 2014.
To enable the works to commence, heras fencing and scaffolding will be erected on Friday 2 May. Once carefully dismantled, the Bandstand will be fully refurbished before being relocated in the heart of Woking Park. There, a footpath will be constructed and new benches installed creating an attractive and inviting environment to relax and enjoy future entertainment.
The bandstand, currently located outside Export House in Woking Town Centre, is moving as part of preparatory works for the proposed Victoria Square development.
After its removal, the area of existing raised paving outside Export House will be temporarily reinstated with tarmac.
It is anticipated that the fully refurbished bandstand will reopen in its new home in Woking Park later this summer.
