Asda announces new multi-million pound Woking store

100 jobs still up for grabs at brand new Asda Woking Albert Drive

Asda has announced it will be opening its doors to a brand new store in Woking in October, creating up to 350 jobs for local people.

Asda Woking Albert Drive is in the final stages of recruiting 350 jobs in the 40,000 square foot store - after receiving a staggering 2,000 applicants - and they are yet to secure 100 new recruits for a mixture of part time positions across a number of departments; those interested should visit www.asda.jobs for further information.

Customers at the store can expect to find everything for a full weekly shop including a full home shopping service, allowing customers to order online and have their weekly shop delivered straight to their home, without having to step out their front door; alternatively, customers could collect their order ready packed from the store.

The store will incorporate a Food Hall including a fantastic Halal Meat Counter, the first of its kind in a Woking superstore. Delicious products from the fish counter, fresh pizza counter and rotisserie will be available, as well as Asda's popular own label brand, Chosen By You; a non-food section including home and technology; and a 6,000 square foot George section, stocking the clothing brand's newest lines.

An optical department will also be in store to offer customers friendly expertise; making it easy for shoppers to drop in whilst doing their weekly shop.

New store manager, Lee Randall, said: "We're feeling really positive about the number of jobs being created in Woking and we can't wait to get fully recruited ahead of the opening in October.

"We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers into our brand new store. We will have a team of colleagues who are willing to provide world class service to our customers; we hope to offer them a convenient and easy shop!"
