Industrial Strategy Consultation
The Government is inviting as many organisations as possible to comment on Britain's Modern Industrial Strategy, by 17 April, to make sure that the policy reflects the diversity of the UK and its economy.
It wants to build an industrial strategy that addresses long-term challenges to the UK economy and the South East. Its aim is to improve living standards and economic growth by increasing productivity and driving growth across the whole country.
The green paper sets out the vision for a modern industrial strategy and some early actions the Government has committed to take. It aims to start a genuinely open and collaborative conversation about the skills, research, infrastructure and the other things it needs to get right to drive long term growth in productivity.
