McLaren Automotive expands on Woking Business Park
British luxury sportscar and supercar maker McLaren Automotive has signed a 15-year lease for a further 51,835 sq ft unit at Woking Business Park.
McLaren Automotive already leases 35,421 sq ft of space at Woking Business Park, with the new lease agreed with Schroder UK Real Estate Fund (SREF) on Unit 22, taking its total let space to 87,256 sq ft.
While McLaren is well established in Woking as one of the town’s biggest employers, with its international headquarters at the McLaren Technology Centre and McLaren Production Centre, Woking Business Park provides additional space as the company continues to grow
The prominent 51,835 sq ft industrial building that makes up Unit 22 and fronts Albert Drive is currently being comprehensively refurbished for McLaren Automotive ready for occupation in late summer 2019.
“We are very pleased that McLaren Automotive is growing its presence at Woking Business Park and within the town,” said SREF fund manager Jessics Berney.
“Their steady growth is evidence that well managed, modern industrial premises around London remain an attractive proposition for big business, providing as it does ready access to both London and major international airports.”
Tim Clement, a director with JLL’s industrial and logistics team in London, added: “This transaction further reinforces a long-standing relationship at the business park and McLaren’s long association with the town.”
JLL and Curchod and Co acted for SREF, and Savills for McLaren Automotive.
